James "Alex" Ferguson

Studied pattern making as an industrial elective for 3 years at Edison Tech High School. Applied for a full time job at The Gleason Works after graduating from high school in June 1976, and was accepted for employment in January 1977. Worked in the iron foundry until June 1977 when an apprenticeship position opened up in the pattern shop. Completed the 4 year apprenticeship in June 1981 and continued to work as a pattern maker until January 1987 with a "Class A" ranking.
Started working at K&H Precision Products in January of 1987 as a pattern maker. Received "on the job" and some "off site" training to learn various skills while at K&H such as:
- A) Machining, using a variety of knee mills and lathe
- B) Prototrak programming using "conversational code" on knee mills
- C) CNC Programming using "G code" at vertical machining centers
- D) Mastercam Programming
- E) Computer software such as Windows, E2, Cimco, etc.
Currently serving at K&H Precision Products as Vice President in charge of day to day scheduling and operations along with quoting and customer relations.
